Encyclopedia Magnetica™

Submersible wire - a special type of copper wire used for making windings in submersible motors (which can be flooded with water). This wire has two layers of electrical insulation: outer (transparent polymer, for protection against water) and inner (brown resin, same as in enamelled wire).
