Quadrant - one quarter of the area on a given two-dimensional graph, as delimited by the axes of the coordinate system.1)
By convention, the quadrants are numbered in an anticlockwise manner, starting from the top right:2)3)4)
- top right = first quadrant
- top left = second quadrant
- bottom left = third quadrant
- bottom right = fourth quadrant
